Jaipur Was Basically Forts, Family Photos & Me Saying “Bas Ek Aur Shop” 🩷😭

The journey

Jaipur with family was honestly such a full-on scene.

I went with Mumma, Papa and my younger brother Aarav, and obviously the trip started with everyone saying, “We’ll keep it relaxed.”

No one kept it relaxed. 😭

Day one itself was Amber Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, random photo stops and my mother repeatedly telling us to stand properly because apparently every location needed one “good family picture.”

Then came the markets.

Big mistake.

I entered Bapu Bazaar thinking I’ll just “have a look” and somehow came out with juttis, earrings, a bag and absolutely no explanation for why I needed any of them. 😂

Papa was pretending not to care about shopping until he started bargaining harder than all of us combined.

Food was another full event — kachori, lassi, dal baati churma, ghewar… basically we were sightseeing between meals at that point.

Jaipur was colourful, loud, pretty and very family-trip coded.

Would I go again?

Yes.

Would I say “I’m not shopping this time”?

Also yes.

Would anyone believe me?

Absolutely not. 🩷

Favourite Memory: Everyone getting dressed properly for one “nice family picture” at Amber Fort and then arguing for ten minutes about who blinked. 😂

My final verdict: Jaipur is dangerous because you go for forts and somehow come back with shopping bags, 700 photos and zero regrets. 🩷✨
