Okay, so technically we went to Kolkata for a friend's wedding... but honestly? It turned into one of the most fun trips we've had together.

The group chat started with, "Guys, book your tickets before prices go up," and somehow ended with matching outfits, last-minute shopping, and people asking, "Do I really need another pair of heels?" Spoiler alert: apparently yes.

The minute we landed in Kolkata, the wedding excitement had already started. Between checking into the hotel and getting ready for the first function, there was literally no time to relax. But somehow those chaotic few hours were the funniest part.

Nobody has ever been ready on time for a wedding, and we were definitely not going to change that tradition. Someone was borrowing earrings, someone had forgotten their belt, someone was asking for a safety pin every five minutes, and somehow the room looked like a tornado had passed through it.

The wedding itself was absolutely beautiful. From dancing like nobody was watching during the sangeet to stuffing ourselves with amazing Bengali food between every function, we honestly made the most of every single event. We had already promised ourselves we'd eat "just a little"... and then somehow ended up trying almost everything at the buffet.

In between the wedding functions, we explored Kolkata whenever we got free time. We walked around **Victoria Memorial**, spent an evening at **Prinsep Ghat**, and of course visited **Park Street** because everyone had recommended it. Every place had its own vibe, but honestly, the best part was simply walking around together with no fixed plan.

One afternoon we decided to visit **College Street**, thinking we'd spend twenty minutes there. Instead, we somehow ended up exploring bookstores, stopping for coffee, and talking about life for almost two hours. Completely unplanned... but probably one of my favourite memories.

The funniest moment happened during one of the wedding functions. We spent almost an hour getting ready, fixing each other's outfits, doing makeup, and making sure every picture looked perfect. Five minutes after reaching the venue, it started drizzling. Safe to say... all the effort lasted exactly five minutes. Instead of getting annoyed, we just laughed, danced in the rain, and honestly, those candid pictures looked even better.

Every evening ended the same way—ordering late-night food back at the hotel, sitting on someone's bed, removing makeup, laughing over everything that happened during the day, and promising we'd sleep early before the next function. We never actually did.

Looking back, Kolkata gave us much more than a wedding invitation. It gave us beautiful streets to explore, amazing food to try, unforgettable celebrations, and those random moments with friends that somehow become the best memories.

Would I attend another destination wedding with this group? Absolutely. Zero questions asked.
